Aviva Partner

Since I craved to have diversity on my "wall of achievements" and to be tempted to take new "dares" that would challenge my knowledge and skills as a Drupal developer, the Aviva Partner web project met both my "requirements".

What the Aviva Group envisioned on their Aviva Partner website was to turn it into the go-to-source of information for insurance brokers. In other words, the company wanted to position itself as an "educator" in this market as well.

My Part in This Project:

From theming to site building and custom Drupal development, I was co-opted to carry out a whole range of tasks aiming the Aviva Partner Drupal site's development and its functionality enhancement.

Why Drupal?

First of all: because of (or rather "due to") the whole amount of content, a highly varied one (bulletins, key business documents, all sorts of relevant information for the insurance industry etc.). One that had to be easily manageable (edited, uploaded, published etc.)

In addition to their need for a robust CMS capable to handle heavy loads of content and to perfectly organize it, as well, there was the need for a streamlined user authentication process, as well.

The site was to have a whole infrastructure of registered users (insurance brokers willing to stay informed and so accessing the website for useful, relevant materials) and even  a "Broker Portal" too.

Therefore Drupal's user roles, permissions and overall authenticated users management system was a perfect fit for this project's specific requirements.
