Berklee College of Music

Now here's another particularly rewarding project that I'm proud to have had the chance to "pin up" on my "wall of achievements"! Berklee College of Music's not just "another college of music", but one focusing on "contemporary music" and also the largest one in the world.

So yes, having had the chance to leverage my Drupal expertise for an institution that easily stands out (there aren't many educational institutions of contemporary music out there) and, even so more, for the largest one, still is highly rewarding for me.

My Part in This Project:

Berklee College of Music needed a website face-lift, therefore my main responsibilities ranged from Drupal site building to site performance boosting, custom module development and Drupal theming.

Why Drupal?

High education institutions love Drupal and the Berklee College in particular, since they were dealing with an impressive amount of content that needed to be published, and constantly updated.

Moreover, it had to be perfectly structured into multiple sections (podcasts, events, information on all the available programs, news, job listings etc.). And all this for meeting the huge audience's needs for information, for fresh content, the high amount of traffic being another challenge and reason for choosing Drupal over other CMS.

No to mention that users get to sign up on the website, as well, so reliable user (lots of them) management functionalities were a must, as well. And luckily Drupal's been "equipped" with powerful user management capabilities.

The Result:

A perfectly structured, easy to navigate through "content mosaic".

In a nutshell: a content-packed website capable to handle high traffic volumes.
