I still can't hide my excitement for having had this opportunity: to invest some of my expertise and experience in leveraging Drupal's capabilities for powering this particular web project here.

Clean Water Howard is a stormwater management program aimed at increasing awareness among citizens and local companies (in Howard County) on how to better manage and treat stormwarter on their properties.


My Part in This Project:

I got co-opted in their Drupal 7 website's building process which included, as expected, the development of some new modules built to implementing the specific functionalities that the initiators behind this program required for their site.


Why Drupal?

Clean Water Howard's main objective was to raise awareness via a whole "network" of informative content ranging from tips and advice to relevant reports, expert studies, maps, a dedicated blog, news and the list can go on.

We were talking about a heavy load of content, highly diversified content, so the program's initiators couldn't have chosen a more suitable technology to power their website with than Drupal. This CMS's been built with truckloads of content management capabilities in mind.

And so Drupal's got its name listed in a chapter of the Environment Sustainability Strategy and I was fortunate enough to be part of the "story".

The result:

• an easy to navigate on website, with well structured content falling into multiple categories
• a more than intuitive navigational menu and loads of informative materials for the visitors to access with utmost ease

A great editorial experience for the team of content creators in "back stage" and easy access to that specific content for the website visitors have been the key goals achieved by the end of this Drupal web project!
