I knew from the very first time that I heard about Cynosure's vision that Drupal was the only platform "equipped" with all the needed capabilities for turning it into reality.

They wanted to go beyond their product-selling objective by turning their brand into a true "educator" in the field: light-based aesthetic medical treatment systems manufacturing and commercializing.

It's a both marketing and education platform that they envisioned, where the would train and offer their practitioners all the needed informative material and support to help them grow their businesses while using Cynosure products (from which SculpSure stands out as the most revolutionary one).

My Part in This Project:
I'm still so grateful for the chance to be part of this complex and nonetheless "daring" project! It included both redesigning and implementing the tech strategy aimed at building a robust and low maintenance platform (with outstanding content and user management functionalities).

My responsibilities involved their Drupal platform building and custom Drupal module development.

Why Drupal?
The right question would have to be "What other CMS if not Drupal?".

"Improved usability" has been the ultimate goal of this project, along with a streamlined content authoring process (since we were talking about a heavy load of tools, material, educational content that was to be uploaded and delivered to all the registered practitioners)

Deriving from usability, another key objective was implementing a user-generated content feature, as well as a custom dashboard that was dependent on a streamlined approval process of all the materials, manuals, videos product support information related specific customer accounts that would be uploaded.

A whole load of content being constantly updated and enriched, an entire hierarchy of user roles and permissions (since we're talking about both practitioners and patient-dedicated pages), a user-generated content feature...

This whole infrastructure of user and content-related functionalities required a solid CMS, with great content authoring and user management capabilities and Drupal was the only platform capable to meet all this project's requirements.
